ORIGIN & SOURCING:
This coffee is sourced from our friends at Oro Molido. We have been working with Oro Molido since 2015. They are multigenerational coffee producers with farms in several regions in Colombia. The Vista de Nieve farm is in Northern Colombia in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The farm is close enough to the Caribbean Sea that coastal micro climates cause the coffee to mature and ripen more slowly, resulting in beans that are more dense. Denser beans also contain higher levels of sugar, resulting in more complex and sweeter cup profiles.
Why We Love This Coffee: The coffee that come from Vista de Nieve is consistently delicious. It's sweetness and complexity always puts a smile on our faces. Not only is the coffee awesome, the folks that grow the coffee are awesome too! Their Rain forest Alliance certification highlights their commitment to protect nature and improve the lives of farmers and forest communities. Beyond that, they created non profit foundation they created to improve development opportunities for children and young people that live in rural coffee-growing communities. Good coffee from good people doing good things!
